Bratwurst with Beer-Braised Cabbage
Ingredients
- shredded green cabbage (6 cups)
- small white onion, peeled, sliced (1)
- apple cider vinegar (2 tablespoons)
- granulated sugar (1/2 teaspoon)
- kosher salt (2 teaspoons)
- lager beer (1/2 cup)
- chicken stock (1/2 cup)
- fresh bratwurst (6)
- Whole grain mustard, as desired (optional)
Instructions
Step 1
1. Place all Level 1 ingredients in the pot and stir until combined.
Step 2
2. Place the bottom layer of the Deluxe Reversible Rack in the pot in the higher position, then place the bratwursts on the rack. Close the lid and move slider to STEAMCRISP.
Step 3
3. Select STEAM & CRISP, set temperature to 345 °F, and set time to 10 minutes. Press START/STOP to begin cooking (PRE will display for approx. 15 minutes as the unit steams, then the timer will start counting down).
Step 4
4. When cooking is complete, remove the rack with the bratwurst. Stir the cabbage and serve with bratwurst and mustard as desired.
